ABC to Allow 10 Minutes of Practice - 02/13/01 07:53 PM

According to "The Captain's Nest," an ABC newsletter for team captains, the 2001 ABC Champtionships Tournament will allow ten minutes of practice for bowlers during team event. During doubles and singles event, bowlers will still be allowed only one ball on each lane, but the team event change comes as a response to many bowlers requesting longer practice times to warm up their bodies as well as line up on the lanes.

It's about time. They want to consider us athletes, but only wanted to provide one ball to stretch with. Time constraints or not, it's time to do it for the doubles also. It would only have to be 4 minutes or so for singles and doubles.

I had discussions with Ed Baur a while back about this very situation. He sent me an email a while back telling me they were going to try out my idea. I emailed him back telling him I'd believe it when I saw it, I guess I'll have to believe it now. heh heh cool
