Both weeks we shot on the Viper I shot high 540's as well. Even thou it was the same pattern two weeks in a row, they played extremely different. I went in there thinking I had it figured out coming off of the 1st week on the Viper, not a chance. The only thing I give myself credit for was figuring out how to stay out of trouble. And it actually proved to be enough for 19 out of 20 points.

I found a couple of decent lines on it though, next time should be a little better. I found standing 15 looking 5 with my Virtual Gravity worked well. Also standing 19 and swinging 7 with the Global Shift was a good line. Standing 8 looking 1 was actually a really good line as long as you could stay really consistant.

I ended-up averaging 175 on the viper. After my first week on the chameleon....well...ah..I bought golf clubs. lol

This week:

PBAX (chameleon)
140-176-148

Pro-Am (THS)
185-184-201

Not doing well at all lately. I've been trying to implement the free-swing to fix some of my past timing/pulling problems and to achieve better accuracy. I even had a coach spend some time with me this past week. He pointed out a couple of things nothing major. Right now I'm somewhere between a free and muscled swing. As a result my accuracy is a hit or miss. When I miss it's usually a couple of boards to the left or right. The PBA patterns are amplifying my misses making me feel even worse. I break out in a sweat now when I see a ten pin standing :-) I guess I need more practice...practice.

My Week 8 bowling (BowlSK)

I've had nights where I've scored better, of course, but the first encouraging thing about last night was that I had a clean first game (210) bowling directly opposite Harry Thibeault Jr., one of the best in the house, which told me that I wasn't bowling scared. A couple of bad shots cost me in the second game. However, in the third game, I had to make a move inside to about the point where I normally start feeling uncomfortable; I surprised even myself by throwing fairly good shots (I made a 2 & 1 move and upped the ball speed) and even stringing together a turkey in the middle of the game. The third game would've been better had my spare game not let me down. As it turned out, I would've needed a career night to beat Harry, anyway, as he had a 279, the highest game ever thrown against me, sandwiched between a couple of games in the 240s. The team got swept, mainly because one of their females also had a great night, for which my team had no answer.

Feh, my 2nd week with Viper — BowlSK

Love the Cell. Hate my missing targets and humid houses.

Tournament tomorrow, and I'll start with an 8-pin no-tap thanks to sk8. I'll do anything to relax the blasted shot.

Tonight I went 265-180-240-210--895

The first game was clean. Second game I had 2 nasty splits and couldn't string any strikes. Third game I moved a bit and found the strike line again. One nasty split cost me a 270+ game. Final game was a struggle for most of the game as the left lane had a dry spot off which my ball would bounce into the head pin. Finally moved further left than I ever like to play with my Cell Pearl, but it worked, and I struck in the 9th then 2 more in the 10th to close out my opponent. I took 4 of 5 points from him (3 games + total) and my team took 20 points overall. We're now in 2nd I think.

Well, my league night was kind of odd, thats for sure. Started off feeling great, but by the end of the game I sort of struggled and went open, open in the 8th and 9th, then 9/9 the tenth to shoot 200 even. Next game I struggled early with 3 straight opens then finished with a five bagger to shoot 177, last game I flush every single ball for my first 300. It was kind of cool, not a single trip 4, no messenger to take out the 10, just 10 in the pit every single shot. Kind of sucks to shoot 300 and miss 700 by almost 30 pins though.

200-177-300-677.

Nice bowling Richie and Dan, keep it up!
