129-166-232=525. There's only one consistency there. I consistently got better. Well I figured out what I was doing wrong and was about to fix it. Plus it's nice to pull out my Scout and throw it again. Old reliable is always a good one for me.

An excellent day of practice. First a couple of "games" (10-frame lines) practicing corner spares. Then 177-215-182. For me with my 149 league average, I felt good about this. Finished off with one more game's worth of spare practice.

I had my best night at league tonight. I shot a 210, 187 and 244. I had my highest game, highest series (first 600+) and my first clean game during league. Oh my average is 156, so this was a big night for me.
I bowled last night (Friday) and was locked out of the computer by my daughter;) 190, 215, 162 =567. I was okay with that. The last game would have been higher if I'd switched balls right off. I didn't, and wound up with the first 3 shots where I didn't convert the spares. I'll practice tomorrow and Wed. and see if movement on the lane helps at all or if ball change is the only option.

Bowled 12 games of practice last night -- 2 w/no-step delivery to work on my release, 2 games of corner-pin practice, 3 using the outside line I've been trying to use most of the time, and 5 doing something I'd never tried before, an inside line. Sliding over 25, trying to send the ball over 15 at the arrows out to 9 or 10 and making it come back.
It actually worked better than I thought, but I still probably have too much ball speed for it to work as well as it should. I'll post about that elsewhere.

17-18 mph isn't that fast. Off my hand my ball speed is around 20 and at the pins I'm at around 17-18. You just need to fine tune your release to match up with your ball speed.

Yes, and I haven't figured out yet how to do that

In my first practice series since I started seeing a coach, I bowled a 538 (200, 171, 167). Much better than I was expecting. The lane stayed very consistent. Once I found my mark and the right speed, it stayed the rest of the series. I just started getting a little tired at the end.
That 2nd game, 5 shots that probably should not have carried went anyway. That's ok. The first game 2 that probably should have and one that was definitely in the neighborhood didn't go. I would like to say things are looking up, but I have had decent sessions before and it all went away the next time out..LoL
