Find a high school football stadium and run up and down the stairs (at a leisurely pace) for about 15 minutes at a time. Your bowling will improve.
or
take two single-ball bowling
bags and walk up and down flights of stairs with them. Same
deal.
or
put 30 pounds in a backpack and walk about 2 miles.
and don't forget to stretch....
