I have always agreed with this quote, and it holds true here as well:

"Even the greatest bowler cannot out-bowl bad ball fit."

And if it's a [censored] bowler instead...well, it's really bad.

I'll be sure to ask exactly what he changed... I think he said the word "pitch" at some point and I think also he's going to aim the thumb a little further across the palm--but with that last he said it would get me more hook if I could do it but if it didn't work he'd edge it back out some.

I'll try to get more specifics lol.

OK, well unfortunately my new Pro Shop guru was swamped when I picked up my ball, so I wasn't able to pick his brain about what all was done. However, I can tell that he evened out the finger holes (I think one was further from the thumb than the other, before). The thumb hole was initially a little too snug but he ovalled it out slightly and...all I can say is, one piece of tape to the front of the thumbhole, where the pad of my thumb touches, and it's like a whole new ball. Shot 50 pts higher tonight than I've been doing.

I think my wife is having the same thumb problem I was having, so her ball is next to go to the guru. (BTW, if anybody is from the Vancouver, Washington area, the guru is Dennis at Bailey's Classic Lanes...I hope it's OK for me to say that.)
