I think Im the only person excited about a new VIBE lol. For the price my emerald hit like a Mack truck OOB and was advertised for dry lanes, Actually it hooks more than any of my more expensive equipment. They are actually marketing this new one as an aggressive ball Im curious to whether they finally realized how much the emerald and cherry hooked or whether they beefed up the cover stock a bit.

I still dont know how i want to get it drilled!

The vibes store their energy for the back end, overall hook is not really about how many boards a ball will cover, but how many boards the ball will cover in oil.

An aggressive oil ball will burn up and not cover as many boards as a weaker ball on dry lanes because it will store energy for the back end, but the aggressive oil ball will out hook the weaker ball on heavy oil.

I saw Bill O'Neil throw the Onyx this past weekend on the Chameleon pattern and I would say it is not much of a dry lane ball and is more for medium oil and should be a great benchmark type ball because it should fit smack in the middle of Hammer's line up.
