I've always suggested generic names for my team, but they've always been rejected, or totally random ones like "Insert Team Name Here" (misunderstood by the league director who then actually inserted a generic name in that space), and ninety-nine niners (rejected). For the past 2 years we've called ourselves the "Cookie Monsters". Might have to join/form a new team next season.... I was on a team once named "Is This the Beer Line?" which is kind of funny during warmups. And then a name I heard years ago I thought was very clever... "Strikes to Spare".
