Living in Denver we have the "Rockies" for a baseball team so..... We are the "Bowlwinkles" during the normal season, and Bowldogs in our summer "Hump Day" season.
My friday night summer starts this friday. Team name is "Born with 1 Ball" Cant wait to start again, its seems like its been a month since the old league ended.

One of my team members took a lesson. I told me that his ball finishes 'more better' now after that lesson. I joked about the term 'more better'. That has been our team name for 3 years.

Are the ideas on this board proprietary to the board? Or can anyone list the names, and publish them. A list for men, women and mixed laegues could be a money maker.
PS: Recently saw a summer league team wearing white shorts. On the rear of the shorts were the words, "Up your bucket". This was the team name. Quite novel. Must have a lot of light hits.

Thursday night Fall mixed...we've used Nuckin Futs. Another team on that league: We like it like that.
On Friday night Summer....there is a team named "The Drunks" and they actually live up to that! Our team: Untouchables and there's been quite a few times that we've gotten more than just touched. LOL. Others: Outcast, Second to None.

For one of my summer leagues we decided on X-Men. The name fits well, as one of my teammates pointed out, given that all four of us are decidedly different in appearance: A tallish, stocky, grey-haired retired guy, a short greying rail-thin middle-aged guy, a young avg height big asian college student, and me: a tall avg build mid-20's guy.

I've bowled on teams named 'Hit'n da Hole' and 'Funky Four Plus 1' (if you're a hip hop historian you know that one).
I bowled on a team of all lefthanders and we called ourselves 'No Pins Left'...

Last year my husband and I were added to an existing team clled Mystery, Inc. Our teammates where huge Scooby Doo fans.
Our summer league consisted of 2-person teams. We came up with What Not to Bowl. A play on our favorite TV show What Not to Wear. Neither one of us is a very good bowler so the name really fit. We also toyed with Whose Lane is it Anyway (Whose Line is it Anyway) which I obvously chose for my screen name. Since there was just the 2 of us on the team we also considered The Just-Us League We are bowling on a new league this fall and will have different teammates, so I have no clue as to what our new name will be.
