Brunswick balls are made in Mexico, but other than that I would think it shouldn't be a problem. As long as it's legal in every other way

If you're using it in a USBC sanctioned league, it has to be USBC approved. Unless someone replaced the core with some "special" cargo, the police aren't going to arrive at your door for getting an international ball.

To find out if a ball is legal for use in an USBC league or event go to http://bowl.com/Downloads/pdf/approved_ball_list/new_ball_list.pdf . If it's on that list then you can use it.
Sometimes you can find overseas balls on American websites for sell. Of course most of the overseas balls tend to be just a rebadged and maybe different colors than the US release.

i emailed the bowl.com staff dealing with international balls since i own one, here is the response i got recently

"As long as the ball is on the USBC approved ball list on bowl.com it
is approved for competition and for the USBC tournament as well. I'll
attach a link to the approved ball list below. You may not be able to use
them in a PBA event as they're not readily available to all players. I
will caution you that the acceptance of these balls is at the discretion of
the tournament director and/or league official. Please check with them as
they have the final say on all equipment for their event.

http://www.bowl.com/Downloads/pdf/approved_ball_list/new_ball_list.pdf"

now i agree with cgeorge, if its a international ball that your just going to use for your typical league, i see no problem with that nor should there be a problem, its just a league

but for tournaments, i would check with them first

I was thinking about getting the international version of the (Conquerer) before deciding to get a (Dynamic Power). Just to be different I guess.

Who's that, the blue Conqueror is approved, even though the newer ones were sold overseas. It has a red pin. The red Conqueror is the version sold in Europe.

I acually wanted to get the international version, just to have a one of a kind ball. But from what I hear the DP would be my best choice for heavy oil like the Shark.

One quick side note, PBA rules state that a bowler cannot use an international ball in any PBA event if they are a citizen of the United States. Only international players competing in a PBA event are excluded from this rule.
