I was bowling there during the tournament. I was on lane 30 I believe. I was just open bowling though for some practice, not bowling in the tournament.

Well Jordan and I just returned from league, We didn't get to practice this week and we could tell.

Jordan started off real rocky with a 123 but came back with a 237- 219

I started off well for me 184-178 but last game was 148 all 3 I was really working hard to pick up spares. Good note is I can really feel my swing freeing up my release and foot work still need help.

Jordan the first game timing was all over the place which was actually kind of good where he has been getting a lot of 200 games I think it helped him realize if he wants to stay good he has to work at it. I do have to give him props again though still didn't see much sign of frustration, after each bad shot he would come back and either tell me what felt wrong with his shot or if he made a bad decision in moving where he stood. I finally got it in his head not to adjust until he knew he was consistently hitting his mark. That is when his scoring started turning around and he freed his swing back up.

I think when I can quit concentrating on my swing (it get's more natural) my scores will increase that's my hope anyway.

I refinished all 3 balls that I will take to the tournament, tonight. I had arranged for a heavy oil pattern to be laid on 2 lanes, since the lane machine can't duplicate the National pattern. I rolled about 30 balls with each ball, with the scoring off. I did notice that the Terminator was sliding too long, and sent it back to the Pro Shop to be taken down. I used the VG next with varied results to start. The ball reacted better is I used more of the center oil and got it out to a break of about 8. The BRB just did what it does the best. It is very reliable when the oil breaks down. Got the Terminator back and boy what a difference.

So, I have a heavy oil ball that gets length. A heavy oil ball that reads the midlanes. And, a medium ball that gets length and crosses carryover.

Now, if I can only get my arm, swing, and release to cooperate with the balls that are ready????? That is the big question.

Good Luck Dennis.
Hope ALL goes well at the tourney. For what its worth,..I have had trouble in the past with my timing release etc. I was so aware of it that its all I thought about when I was on the approach, instead of the shot at hand. Its only after I stopped thinking about it, and trusting my instincts that I am starting to experience some success again. In my last several games I have been over 200 in almost all of them...so things are looking up. Bottom line I guess,...you know what you are doing,..just trust in yourself and just bowl, and have some fun.

I off to have a little fun myself on Thursday,..going to spend the next five days in Mexico for a bowling buddies wedding. Should be fun wink

Bowled in my no tap league last night. 300-300-208 for an 808. Dropped my average a couple pins but thats ok, its a long season. Thought I was going to hit 900 but a washout in the 5th ended that. Also missed a 4-7 later in the night which absolutely killed that last game.

Sk8

Every Feb, my alley runs a 9 tap tourney the whole month. It is M-R and it is doubles. There are only a few 900s shot every year and there are some good bowlers. My best was 878.

went bowling the other day with my girl and we had the whole place to ourselves it was kinda cool i had a pretty good day i started with a 160 then shot 211,204 221,215,and then a 171 the only bad thing about all the 200's was i missed at least one spare in every game the lanes broke down on the next to last game and had to switch to my older ball
