Bowling center entrance. Its attached to a large hotel and casino. Gold Dust West.

Nice new fascility, kept up very well. Clean and everying in working order. Staff is great and mechanics on hand.

Right outside the side of the hotel as we were leaving was this view of the spring/summer Sierra Mountains. Just a touch of snow left, but very beautiful.
Last year it was a house shot and there were a lot of high scores. This year as people came back from their respective weekends we started hearing rumors of "bad shot", "inside shot", "outof bounds". Well it was like Nationals. Out of bounds at 10. No one knows why. Its just a popular "peoples" tournament that draws all levels of bowlers from the west and North West. No divisions, just one handicap level. And we got a flat shot inside and a flood outside 10. What we heard was that the mechanic screwed up with the oiling the first week of the tournament and they didn't think it would be fair to put the house shot down for everyone else. Could be, who knows where the truth really lies. Maybe they just wanted to cut the scoring pace back this year. This being open to anyone. We have one of our local PBA regional guys leading with 824 scratch. I'd have had to shoot 780 to get close to that. And I think high in our entire squad of doubles/singles was 657. But we bowl team tomorrow at 3pm and we'll just have fun resting, little gambling etc.......
