Nationals is just like your local state tournament, if you have one, lots of bowlers of all averages having a good time away from home. Queens, however, is definitely not for everyone as the shot requires a knowledge of the game that reaches far beyond the normal house shot, not to mention you would be bowling against past pros, etc. Not going this year myself - although we always took 2 teams (of which more than 1/2 of us bowled the Queens) there was no room left for our teams to bowl both Nationals and Queens, so we got caught on the outside. This veers off the topic a bit, but the Queens tournament has been losing interest (just like the women's tour) for years now, and they have just lost another group of entries for the Queens this year. I know Reno holds a bit more appeal than the past few locations, but I will be anxious to see how many entries the Queens has this year. Have fun at your first Nationals.
