Scholarships are pretty rare, unless you're possibly ranked top 50 in the nation. Look for a good college program (education-wise) first then see if they have a bowling program. Collegebowling.com has a long list of the schools that have active (and inactive) programs. Good luck.

Haha not meant to dash any hope of a scholarship, but know that they are very few and far between. Focus on the college first, and if they have a bowling program, great!

Its rare to find a high school system for bowling these days. USBC is working on it, but its not easy with the regulations that the National high school sports system puts in place.
If you bowl in sanctioned leagues then there are funds going into your "smart" program for tournaments wins and scores. Bowl more tournaments even if you do not cash high, if they are sanctioned you will add to your scholarship monies. Your local association may also have scholarships available. I know we give out a couple thousand each year to those that apply. So look into that.
As for getting a free ride through college like foot ball and basket ball players.....very rare as Ricky has said.
But when you are looking to go through college take all the scholarship opportunities available to you. If the local association offers a $1000/year for the winning applicant then appy. At 15 you have a couple years to go. Start now. You have a good start. Look into some coaching at the centers. Bowl as many Jr sanctioned tournaments as you can afford. Look for colleges with strong bowling programs to apply to. You might not be a first stringer, but can still get in the program.

Another thing that you can do is that is there is a student bowling alley, start a club team. When I got to college, that is all that my school had. By the time I left, we were competing in the big college tourneys on a weekly basis. We were self funded though. Basically car washes, candy bar sales, and anything else we could drum up for cash. We helped with the Jr. leagues in the alley in town. We had a bucket out for tips from the parents. We got a few that way too. That was fun though. I would have done it anyway. A good portion of the money came from our own pockets though. I learned so much and had an absolute blast bowling when I was in college. Worth every penny I spent.
