Great job Ian! Keep up the practice now that you know it pays off. Never stop working at getting better.

Last night, 2 rolls of my Cell Pearl and I knew the lanes were too dry for it, so I pulled out the Mars for the very first time. I had a couple practice games with it but this was its league debut. And what a debut: 229-224-258--711. Unfortunately my team only won 2 out of 7 points. Hopefully we'll do better next week. Funny thing is, 2 of my teammates rolled 737 and 727 respectively a week ago when I was gone for Nationals.

Oh, and I've been quietly battling another guy for the lead in average. The other guy last night either had a low 500 or high 400 series, which means I'm in the lead with 3 weeks to go with a 212. Hopefully it holds up...winning high average in any league would mean more to me than even the 300 I rolled earlier this year.

OK so it was the end of the season NoTap tournament - which I won before donating at the Omaha poker tournament.

I only had 13 regulation strikes. If this had been not NT it would have amounted to about 607 if I picked all the singles...Picked up $28 in pot games.

Had league last night. Had a new series best in league by 4 pins with a 166, 171, 187 for 524. Had more strikes than usual but wasn't picking up spares. Highlight in spares was picking up a 4,7,10 split which is a first for me.

I have 1 week left in league to try to reach my goal of a 200 game in league. But overall I can't complain I guess, my average is up 21 pins so far(first league so started bad).

A good night for me. This makes 3 series in a row just under 700, so I am really throwing the ball well. 226-257-215-698. In my last three nights I have shot 697-684-698 so I am averaging about 231 over the course of the last two weeks, not to shabby.

Can you believe this? Using my light wt. 11# red hammer claw, urethane. I had 153, 151 and 253. Open bowling with friends.
My guess is going down in weight from 14# to 11# allowed me to execute much better. I was able to put the rotation and speed on the ball to match the lanes. I had the front 7 then a split, a spare then 2srikes in the tenth. Don't tell me light balls will not score! Will see if I can keep improving.???

Been practicing pretty hard lately. Usually go to the bowling alley 4 times a week and shooting one game at ten pins, the next at 7's then bowling a few games. I managed to shoot a 691 series with my HyRoad the other day. I missed a 4 pin in the second game, and if I would have picked it up I could have shot my first 700. I was really mad about that, but still pretty happy about the series.

I was stoked to finally do it a couple months ago in practice, but still haven't done it in league unfortunately. Have a couple 190s but can't cross over that 2 mark. I'm gonna go practice a couple times this week, and just work on spares. Picked up my white dot yesterday so anxious to see how that goes.
