Morning all,

In a couple of weeks I am gonna be joining NABI and begin bowling tournaments. I received an email from the director of my region's NABI (Baltimore/Washington) He stated that most high average bowlers that participate in the tournaments will see a decrease in their average over the first 15 games. This is due to the oil patterns used. I expected the conditions to be different, so I am not surprised.

I was wondering if anyone here has bowled NABI and could give some insite into the conditions to expect. I realize that the pattern will vary from week to week and region to region but thought I could get a basic idea.

Thanks for th info,

Kevin Petrinajk

I guess it depends on who's running the tourny's. At the NABI tournaments out here in NY, the NABI director uses the house shot. He doesn't use any special oil condition. Out here it just depends on where the tournament is being held. Some houses have a tougher shot. Even with the house shot, I didn't see a big explosion in scores. They were about average. More scores below 200 than above it.
