When bowling in a league when do the bowlers "switch lanes." Two lanes are always used correct?

Yes each team starts on one lane, one team say lane 9 other team 10 when one teams last bowler completes his frame the first bowler of the other team will then start their team on that lane.

So say in a double's league. You and your partner start say on left lane and both of you finish off your frames. Then on the next frame you switch to the next lane right? And if there is a team of say four people. All four on your team must finish off their frame on that lane then the whole team switches right?

i will follow up on the example given before me, if you start on the left lane, the members of your team(dosnt matter if 2,3,4,5 man team) should be with you on the same lane, as you bowl each frame you switch lanes, if you start on the left lane then you finish on the right lane, well next game you start on the right lane and therefor finish on the left lane and so on repeating the concept....

Your team might not finish on the left lane before you first player is up on the right. It all depends on when the other team is finished. Idea is this:

Game 1
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Frames
1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 Lane

Game 2
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Frames
2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 Lane

Game 3
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Frame
1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 Lane
