Mattdean, that sounds about right... about 40 to 60 pin difference between notap and league average, depending on how consistent your strike shot is. Sometimes, if your strike shot is hurting, you may not see much avg. difference at all.
I don't play in a notap league, but our house has a colorpin notap event every Saturday Night that my wife and I attend about once every 3 weeks. I regularly can pull out 250+ games even with the lights turned down and the music up. Threw a 829 last Saturday Night... which I only pay attention to because of the small side pots they run for Series Totals.
In any case, it is fun to bowl for a change of pace. The only disadvantage to it as far as using it for a training tool is that it broadens your target zone, as you can get credit for a strike while leaving lazy corner pins, or a bit high 4's or 6's. You do not have to be as precise or make as many adjustments.
