Tonight was an up and down type of night. First down of the night, I almost didn't make it to the center. The U-joint in my truck came part of the way out on my way to the center and I had to limp it home. I then borrowed my mother's car to go, my brother would have came to pick me up but he was already at the center and it was faster doing it the way I did. I get there with only 5 or so minutes left in practice so I only got like three shots and thought I knew what to do to play the lanes.

Well that plan went out the window with in a few frames. First I had issues getting my thumb out of the ball which killed my reaction, well that and probably just not executing my release. Out of my first 5, maybe 6 frames I only hit the head pin once. Notice I said headpin and not pocket as that one shot was way to light to be a pocket hit leaving the bucket which I missed. The next 4 or 5 shots I never hit the head pin leaving either the 1-2-4, 1-2-4-8 or a back to back washout. I missed the washouts, once only getting the 4-10 and the other time going in between the 1 and 10, throwing straight from the left side of the lane. I then make another adjustment to the tape in the thumbhole, and a move right on the approach and start hitting the pocket if not striking. I leave a 4-9 once and I forget some of the others. This game ends as a 138, but we win the point on the back of our anchor who rolls a 286, leaving the left handers' bucket on the eleventh shot as he is a back up bowler. That was the only shot he wiped his ball off too.

Second game it gets better, I start to find a line that works with whats going on with my fundamentals but have a hard time executing it. I do strike out for a 170 something. I missed some spares I shouldn't have or that would have been better. We lose this game.

The third game starts out with an 8 open. Another shot that never made it to the head pin, I just screwed the release up and got the ball too much on the gutter and pulled the spare attempt. The next frame I get it way too much on the gutter, as it falls in it. I was playing up the 5 board at this point, starting late in the second game. I shake if off and make the spare, then proceed to throw the next 8 strikes tripping a 4 pin out once and making an adjustment and getting a lucky break on the eighth strike with some pin action taking out the 8 on a not so great release. The next ball I fall off balance losing a little leverage leaving the 7 pin which I past just left of for a 258 game and a 560+, maybe 570+. We one this game and took 3 of 4 points.

Thanks sk8. I think if I had started playing out where I eventually started to play the whole night would have went better. I based where to play in the first game off of the three warm up shots but they weren't at full speed shots. I think considering how my game has been going I'll try to play out there more often to finish off the season despite how warm ups start.

Not a bad night, missed one single pin of consequence, had a couple miscues late but still finished decent. 231-232-200-663.

I put a golf glove on and it fit to the ball but no tape on my thumb. It was okay that I little improve on my storm ball.

After weeks of just below average bowling I finally had a decent night. What's funny is it came via my old Paradigm. The lanes have been dry all year and as such I've struggled. Tonight I decided to try and older ball and rolled 715 (212-235-268). My only 2 opens were splits and I covered all ten pins again on the night. As a team we got slapped the first game but won convincingly the last 2 so we ended up taking 5 of 7 points.

It is late in the season to move the average much but it moved a pin to 212. Although this is my best average on a Tuesday in 3 years I left a lot on the lanes. I just want to finish solid my last 3 weeks then it is time to relax and enjoy the Summer......ok minus Weds night league a 5-6 tourneys lol

A fairly consistent night, with 3 games > 200 for a 622 set, although three missed makeable spares weren't fun. The fun for me tonight was staying with the other team's anchor, who is a nephew of my team's captain and her husband. Although I almost struck out in the 10th frame of the first game, that game wasn't that close, but the other two were, with my team taking the second game and, thanks to my striking out, Eric (the nephew's name) needing a strike on his last ball in the 10th to win the third game and leaving a ringing 10 for the tie.

Tonight I bowled my highest game ever: 277. It was on my second game of the night. I started with a strike then 9 spare in the second frame, after that it was all strikes until my last ball in the 10th which i pulled got a 7 on it.

The overall series was alright 648. Started with an ugly 172 and I was using my Sahara, the lanes were pretty dry (we're the late league)and on the last ball on my first game I changed to the Ultra Zone which is supposed to be a stronger back end but it goes a little longer. The change was at the right time, got 277 and then finished with a 199. Our team took 5 out of 7 points, so it was a very good night overall.

Hey Lefont, long time no hear? Nice shooting for a new high game. See you still have those 14# Morich balls. Guess they still work.

Bikedad stops in every now and again. It is his off time now, being that he stands on his head while bowling, or bowls upside down.

Stick around, this time.
