I don't use the brace all the time, just when I start to feel I need a reminder to keep my wrist straight.

There are a few things I see for you to work on:

1. You over extend your push away which is making you a touch late, and is also cutting down your ball speed because the ball doesn't build up enough momentum in the swing. You do seem to have a decent swing once it gets going.

2. On the back swing, your elbow tends to come away from your body, this can cause accuracy problems, try to let the ball swing in line with your head and the target. This involves keeping your elbow in tight to your body.

3. I would like to see you bend your knees more going into the slide instead of bending at the waist. Bending at the waist causes you to throw the ball into the lane instead of allowing the ball to land smooth like an airplane...an airplane that lands at the airport that is, thanks to Sully I have to clarify. laugh

Another tip for keeping your elbow in is: when you take the first step with your right foot (1st step for 4 step approach and 2nd for 5 step) step in front of your left, that will allow the ball to come down straight instead of having to dodge your right hip. Also try to bend your knees more and keep your waist straighter like coach jim said(that is something I struggle with a lot also).

It might, try it and see. Following the advice of DJ (elbow brusing your side) and Justin (cross stepping) might also help you.

I know I already cross step, I hadn't ever thought about it until I read it here somewhere. I do push my elbow in during my stance but I'll make a more concious effort to keep it in.

Didn't realize there's a time limit on editing, lol.

Thanks everyone so far for their input. I went out again today just taking your advice Jim and keeping lower (more knee bend) and my back straighter at the line. Also not extending my push away quite so far (maybe half way). Only had time for a couple games but my second was 223! First one I almost always botch in practice as that's when I start new things. :P

Nice going juggs, keep up the good work. Did you notice a little faster arm swing when you shortened that push away? It should have created a little more momentum on the ball throughout the entire swing, and it probably translated to a little faster speed on the lane.

In fact I did! It goes against all that I thought too... I thought the ball had to be high and out to gain good momentum and give me a good high backswing. I don't feel like it gave me much more speed (I didn't need that anyway) but this feels much, much better.
