So, after I throw a 7-10 a few weeks ago at leagues, I start to wonder. Would it be legal to purposely step on the foul line after throwing a split? I would much rather toss a strike then attempt a 7-10. Any thoughts?

Doh, probably should have looked it up first...

"5b. Deliberate

When a player deliberately fouls to benefit by the calling of a foul, the player shall be credited with zero pinfall for that delivery and not allowed further deliveries in that frame. If questions arise, Rule 10, Provisional Ball, should be followed."

So maybe if someone made it look like an accident?

Don't know where it is right now, but there was a long thread not too long ago discussing deliberate fouls and the rules.

I don't think you will find anyone here who would advocate having such "accidents." In fact, I'm sure they would be frowned upon. Just like sandbagging, etc.

Let the chips fall where they may... and welcome to the forum!
