I'll be out of town next week, so yesterday at lunch I went down and pre bowled for next Tuesday's league. The lanes were completely empty, it was really very strange. No complaints though, I shot 244, 208, 233 for a 685 series. Not bad since my average has been hovering in the low 170's. I think I am finally getting back into the groove after so many years off.

Not a horrible night score wise, but from a target perspective it wasn't great. I ended up shooting 678 but I didn't feel like I hit my mark consistant enough to bowl that well. Leaving more than a single pin isn't to common for me so doing it 5 or so times in one night was an eye opener thats for sure.

It was brought to my attention Tuesday that I am tucking my pinkie right before I release the ball for some odd reason so I was really concentrating on keeping that finger straight and not letting it tuck. I am not sure why it was doing it but I do have the problem fixed now. I seem to have a much more consistant read of the lanes when I can get the ball off clean, it will just take some getting used to.

How can a guy bowl over average one night, and under the next in the same house? I pretty much stunk it up last night. But we did take two games and totals, and I finished well. Four of us struck out in the last game to give us the win. Once again my spare gme really hurt me, and I barely cracked 500.

Going to practice later today, I need it. frown

Nice bowling everyone else.

Tim, that's why it's an average.

Bowled today. Started with a 235. Ball was rolling nicely, and without any arm. Then something went haywire. 3 open splits in the first 5 frames, then I missed a 10. Don't know why, it just happened. Changed balls in the ninth and punched out for a 170. Final game, I couldn't carry on one lane. I struck out in the previous tenth, and started with a strike to start. Then I lost it again. Held on for 195 and an even 600.

What happened, I don't know. But, it sure looked good in game 1.

Great night for me last night. Opened with a 207......not bad for me at all. Changed to the Second Dimension halfway through the 2nd game and struck out frame 8 - 10 for a 208. Had strikes frames 1 - 8 in the third game, 9 spare in the 9th (10 pin) two more strikes in the 10th and a washout on my third ball for a 276 and a 691 series.......and I only left "One Pin Standing" the entire night.

My best so far in league play, and my first Andy Varipapa 300.........LOL.

Good thing you didnt follow what I did Dennis. 159-187-186=532! 4 opens the 1st game, 3 in the 2nd, 2 in the last. I didn't have a good look from practice and I looked pretty miserable through every second of the night. I'm too ashamed too be that mad. We lost all 4 points again, I'm just killing any chance for us to win. Hopefully that is out of my system, 570s-590s are one thing low 500s are another.

You could have something that just happened to me. The league that bowls the night before used a PBA Sport oil pattern and apparently they didn't strip the lanes before putting down the standard house shot and it really affected a lot of the bowlers (especially the higher end bowlers, not the straight ball bowlers), but at least the mechanic did tell me that, so I felt a whole lot better knowing it wasnt me, because I had a ton of difficulty finding somewhere to shoot, varying by over 10 boards. 178-208-215, but it was very difficult shot.

Last night was great for me that I bowled new high game.

121-188-234 = 543

First game was weak because I didnt get in a line focused on heavy oil. I moved into right of the centre line. I didnt drank until 2nd game start. 2nd game I gutter in 1st frame and got 3 strikes in a row. Only 2 opens. I almost strike in 10th frame that the pin almost to 7 pin from 10. 3rd game I got focused into the line and used cranker. I got 3 strikes, spare, hambone(4 baggers = old school), and almost 5 strikes or more. It was my new high game record beat 224 a weeks ago. Now, I planned get a 16ib Storm Virtual Gravity in next week. My rhino ball can use in practice or dry oil.

In 2nd game, the other player who shot almost 300. He left 10 in 12th frame. He was nervous when he bowled 299. (Not this 2 lanes)

The other team player who left in 5th frame at 3rd game due to this shoulder injury. He bowled way too hard and fast.
