Nice going Brandon. Hopefully you have started to rebound from your struggles, and your little mini-slump is over.

My night was not good at all...real bad in fact. I just could not get anything to carry. Combine that with several splits and some blown spares, and it all adds up to a pretty Cra#@! night. I had a 172,160, and a 180...yikes!! I can take some solace in knowing that I was not the only one struggling. My whole team had trouble, and up and down the lanes bowlers were having a rough go of it. I saw guys with 200+ averages not even hitting 500 for the night. Something was going on,..unfortunatly I could not figure it out.

All you can do is lace em up and go at it again next week.

Disappointing night, 604. Missed 2 makeables in the third game, which cost me 22 pins. Guess how many we lost by? Yep, 21. My mind was not there, and my physical game was not there.

Good consistent bowling there Brandon! Congrats on the 500 series CowboyBrad, you should get a patch for that too! Still not a bad series for the night CG, keep it up!

Thanks everyone. Yeah just a few spares i would of got 600. I'm glad how i bowled last night gives me some confidence i still remember how to bowl smile Something to build on for next week.

I did come to the center early and bowl two practice game. my coach was there he was coaching a youth league there. He came over and watch and found something else. that i was rushing to the line and saw when i didnt rush i hit my mark but when i rushed i pulled the ball. so i bowled two practice games and concentrated to not rush so much and it worked.

Hoping for a good night tonight, last week did end up going better for me than previous weeks, I ended up with a 631. Increased ball speed did help my over/under reaction issues, plus the two things I worked on fixing to increase my speed helped my accuracy. Going to keep on working on those tonight.

Good bowling all.

I had an up and down night but am fairly satisified that although the lanes were tough I still managed to just about hit my average. They seemed to be really touchy. If I got it out just a little too far no way it would work back in. I shot a 541 (172, 217, 152). The last game I had 3 splits. Team lost all 4 again though.

I was hoping for a good night but I didnt do it. 190-247-172=609. I guess the fact I still managed a 600 series with that mess is the up side. Us losing all 4 points (11 of 12 the last 3 weeks) and inconsistent bowling would be the down side. The lanes were dry. I was doing ok the 1st game then chopped a 2 pin spare in the 8th and 10th frames. 2nd game was clean and could have been a 300 with the quality shots. Then I lost all sense of what I was doing by going x, 8 split, x 8split and then spared most of the game. Oh well time to get back into some practice.

After league I rolled 7 games at my local house mostly focusing on timing and playing the lanes as they broke down. 219 avg over 7, low game was a 192, not a single split, couple of easy missed spares in there too. The only line that worked in practice was playing a lot of boards and it was like it was my favorite line. I'm just not throwing good at the moment, very streaky.

I received some good news when I looked at my league standings on LeagueSecretary.com tonight: my 257 game the other night qualified for the USBC's 75 pins over average game award, which is my first award since my return to league bowling. I should receive the patch at the banquet in May. laugh

I thought I could've received the 250 game award, but I guess my average was too high for it. Still, 75 pins over average is pretty good (I've had a 100 over average game in the past, too.).
