Bowled in the Elgin Lanes No Tap tournament today. Shot 752. Should have been better except for a couple stupid shots but still may end up cashing. Couple weekends left so won't know for a while.

I bowled last night actually but this is as soon as I could post it: was an average night for me at least, hit a 197, 193, 201, 203, 160, and 186. It was only practice still but I took down some of the scores I at the end of the games. The best part of the night was that I determined that my VG needed a bath already lol! I wish I could get all of my games up to the 200+ range but something keeps me back still. Its frustrating to question one issue but then find out from talking to a coach at the lanes that the problem I was thinking I had wasn't a problem after all. So I'm back to square one on solving the small things. If I could afford a coach that would be great, but I can hardly afford to bowl as it is

Good bowling all!

Friday night league I shot 247-258-197 for a 702. I threw the ball well and had one open on a 6-7-10 split in the thrid game. That ruined my streak of games without an open (including practice games for score) of 13 straight. Oh well though, time to start over!

Finally found the final bowling alley in town...took about 15 extra minutes to find since it's set back from the main roads, lol. Very worn down lanes, slightly warped near the end of the oil pattern...could see it in my ball's reaction.

204/196/168, last game I was plain worn out from bowling yesterday.

Last night, I subbed at a older 12 lane bowling alley. It had newly installed synthetic lanes and new Brunswick equipment. It was essentially a modern bowling alley with a retro feel. I threw a 650. Not to shabby since I've never bowled there before in my life. =]

Way to go Sk8 and Demo!

200,195,181:576 on Sat. Mistakes were made. Shoulda called in and taken the blind.

185,230,215:630 on Mon night. At least we won all points and busted our previous team's scratch series. Yay, we don't suck!

Domokun,
Thanks. It's been tough for me the past couple months but I was completely at ease on Friday night. I couldn't figure it out nor do I want to (over analyzing, you know).

Hey on the up side, at least your team won all your points with your 630 series. thumbsup My team lost 5 of the 7 points that night and I threw a 655. brickwall mad Those are far and few between nowadays for me, but I have a feeling that they will be more frequent now. I beat my dad's series by 90+ pins (second time that's happened). grin

The weird thing was, I didn't get discouraged or even angry at some of my shots. If I got lucky, I turned around with this kind of sh*t-eating grin like I had just robbed a bank and got away with it. And if I did something wrong, it was funny cause the people next to me could hear me say, "Way to Go, genius!"

I also found out why I've been having so much trouble with my Venus, as well as how to use it, which made me extremely happy. grin I threw the 233 game with only that ball. I think it was X, 8-10, X X X X X X and then a couple of spares and the two strikes and a 9 count in the tenth.

Overall it was just a really good night that I hope to replicate.

Ooooh hoo hoo, you beat your Dad by 90? Niiiiiice. Sorry you guys lost the majority, though. Stinks when you've done well, and you get hosed.

Glad you're starting to not over-analyze your stuff. Certainly not while you're up there--much better to do that afterward.

What was the problem with the Venus?

(Oh, yeah, finally broke up with the ugly @$*# Passion. Foisted/Forced her off on a teammate who was struggling with a long dead Depth Charge. Hope she does better for him than for me.)
