We are staying at the Marriot by the MGM. Hotel points from a buddy's dad so hotel is $0.00 If I have to pay a few bucks a day for a taxi, oh well.

I say get the best deal you can that works for you. With business being off affected by the state of the economy, there are deals out there. Casinos are starting to fall all over themselves to get customers. My goal was to find a place that was fairly close to the Cashman Center and still easy access to other places on the strip and downtown. Cab fares can get expensive. I also like the lower stakes tables.

It all depends on how you have your equipment drilled and the surfaces on them. The only equipment I really know is Storm/Roto so I know where I would point you. There is going to be oil. I like to take a couple of balls that are dull that can eat the oil and then a ball that I can roll that will give me some back end bite. I am only taking 4 (Cell, Special Agent, Hy-Road (coming soon), and my Spare ball. My Cell will be at at least 1000 abralon but probably 500 abralon. The Agent will be at 2000, and the Hy-Road at box or 4000 abralon (won't know until I get it). If I was taking 5, I would add my X-Factor. If I could take another ball, I would add a Cell with my exact drilling that I have on my current one but have it at 4000.
The main thing is that you need to make sure that you have a wide range of equipment with you.

Pretty much agree with GP, although I don't know Storm. You do need a wide range of balls, but not much for medium or dry. Stay in the higher reactive line for heavier oil. Get one for length and another to read early. A dull ball helps too with your spare ball.
My ball for length will be at 1200 grit polished. My early read will be at 600 grit. My dull will be at 400 grit.
Last year, the oil pattern was readable on the back end, and pretty controllable. Getting through the oil was not a problem.
