This is an exerpt of what Wolfe said in an interview following his win:
Wolfe, who is the first amateur since 1999 (Brian Boghosian, Syracuse, N.Y.) to win the ABC Masters, has no concrete plans on joining the PBA in the future.
“Before this event I wondered if I could be competitive with these guys,” said Wolfe. “I had more doubt than confidence but now it is the other way around.”
“I’m not sure exactly what’ll happen,” added Wolfe. “But there is always the future.”

http://www.pba.com/players/pl_fullstory.asp?ArticleID=1107 I think we all struggle with the confidence issue at one point or another. I used to think I couldn't compete with the guys and gals in the Masters League at my own alley. Well, after a year of practice and some new equipment I finished 2001 Masters Winter league with a 213 avg. 2001 Summer league with a 223 and rolled two sanctioned 300s. With the confidence all things are possible. Brett Wolfe will eventually join the PBA and he will fare well against the established Pros on the Tour. Maybe we have our next Tiger....he sure has inspired me to work harder.
