For yet another week, it looks as though the pros are having a hard time with the lane conditions the PBA is throwing at them. I am sure Dave Arnold feels that he earned his paycheck this week. It is quite a change of pace to see pros struggle to make 200 on TV, especially when you know most of these guys have the talent to average 240 in house leagues. It isn't always pretty to watch, but it is quite interesting.

Yeah, the shot they got out looks like it is really playing havoc. However, it also looks like you can play in more than one area of the lane as long as you are able to repeat a shot. You had Bowker playing out and guys like Laffey playing more in.

I didn't notice it this past week, but in the week before they posted some amateur's league average, then posted his average in the PBA tournament, it was like 234 and 168 or something. I realize they do this to show that the lanes are tougher, but if they are going to embarass this poor kid like that they should list ALL the names and averages of the PBA players who were right there with him. If they want to show how diffrent the PBA is they should go over ALL the aspects. This guy probably has never bowled in a national event before, so apprehension and nervousness is a part of it. Bowling side by side with people he might have only seen on TV before. This kid averaging 168 is not as embarassing as a player who is out there every week, that doesn't have those kinds of thoughts, to average 168.

Heck, I'd love to see the entire leaderboard shown like they do in other sports laugh
