beefers1, ESPN did not do that vote, the PBA did. And, it's not indisputable, as the debate continues to roll.

My favorite to watch of all time is Earl Anthony. He was so smooth and so consistent. His whole style was so effortless. He is the reason I started bowling.
Hard to compare what he did and what Walter did to each other. Different eras.

George Lambert IV also deserves an honorable mention on my list. GL4, yet another Wichita State product, graced for immediate success (as all former Wheat Shockers are when they go out on Tour), if and when he gets his Tour card this season's Tour Trials. Oh yes, the list goes on and on, Sean Rash Rick Steelsmith Chris Barnes Lonnie Waliczek Justin Hromek Patrick Healey Jr. (miss him) All great PBA champions, all tutored by Wichita State.

Well, he's Canadian, which was the reason for the honorable mention. Though he did make a TV show once, I'm not sure about whether he'll be very successful. Too many athletes have had high hopes and great rookie seasons only to fall into mediocracy later in their careers.

I know he made a show, and that his TV appearance was the 2005 USBC Masters, and he did pretty well on that show. As for him being Canadian, I do remember that both Bill Rowe (04-05) and Patrick Gerard (06-07), both were former exempt players at one time, and they have a lot of great talent north of the 49th, although I know the Big Game up there is 5-pins (more 5-pin centers than those for 10-pins) as opposed to 10-pins (I have watched Championship 5-pin Bowling on CBC back when I had cable before seitching to a satellite dish years ago), so I expect GL4 to be the third ever exempt Canadian player after his Wichita State days are all said and done. He has that kind of potential, I hope to see him on the leaderboard on PBA.com during the Tour Trials.
