Track clean and tacky is better than clean and dull

Amateur, I have seen this happen too and after a few minutes it usually stops, at which time I will wipe the ball off again, and sometimes I will use a regular spray cleaner on it at that time too. I was told that clean and dull is supposed to actually get under the shell and push some of the oil out, so that is probably what you are seeing.

I've also found that if you use it with a ball spinner and don't allow it to soak into the shell, it will actually shine the ball.
