Man, I could do so much better if I made more spares and had a cleaner release!

Both are fixable. You should try being female and trying to keep up with the high rev players.

But honestly this internal competition you have going on (every post you've made all boils down to this) is adding to your pressing and lack of performance. You have to stop dwelling on it and do something constructive about it. You are in the second step of the three step process. You have exhibited your frustration. Now you need to resolve it and move on.

If it helps, you have shot 700. You have avearged over 200. You are far above the majority of league bowlers and what they will ever achieve scorewise. It is tougher to improve at this point but it can be done. It will not be done by envying the 20+ year olds that rev the snot out of the ball and get pin carry galore. You are still bowling at age 45, they probably will not be. Why? because you love the game. They are caught up in show and scoring, which when it fades with age, they will just quit.

High Book average is 207, hoping to crawl my way into beating that this year. High series in league happened last winter, a 708 but I shot 702 or something like that the previous year. High game is 290, 280, and then a 278 on Viper.

In league I have a 290, 299 and (2) 300s as far as honor scores go. I have a few 289s and more 279s than I care to think about (just had another this past Weds). Highest series are 784 and 777.

As far as averages go my highest book average from a Summer league is 221. My highest book average for a Winter League is 218.

skybolt - I'm wondering why your profile says you have 10x 300's, a high series of 858 and average 225 and then you post something different here?
