General- Do they come easier after you get one under your belt? Never personally have bowled one but took me forever to get my first 700 but once I did boy they became plentiful. Just curious should I ever shoot a 300 if the same would hold true? Or wishful thinking?

I have had 1 300. I was 18 at the time. Since then, I have had 299 twice, 290 about 5 times, same with 280, 279 countless times. I know a lot of people who have shot 300 and the next ones came quick. Same with 700 and 800. I am the exception the to the rule with the 300.

congratulations satyuros. i don't have any 300s yet, but i have had a 290, a 289, four 279s, and a couple of 278s, including one this past weekend that contributed to my new high series of 722 (278, 206, 238). (for anyone who finds that familiar, i noted it in another topic as well). i got new glasses before the last league morning, maybe they're helping me see the lanes better. hopefully i can keep up the hot streak and maybe get to 300 myself this year.

Second Sunday in a row I got to practice on the Scorpion pattern, going to school with a more agressive ball, shooting: 221, 212, 169. I was able to correct the mistakes I made on that last game and carry it to my Monday night league shooting: 234, 226, 258
502 - bought dry lanes ball to league - the lanes have been dry for the past month. Last night the oil was heavier than usual. Left many 10's and several washouts.

leftykev, your post is a bit confusing, does your monday night league run pba patterns? from what i gather in your post, it appears that you rolled that 718 on the scorpion pattern, but i'm not sure if thats what you mean.

His house might do what mine does and put down the PBA patterns on Sunday on a couple of lanes for bowlers to practice on. And then on Monday, those bowlers have league and can use what they learned about the pattern the day before to their benefit.
It's a little late, but congrats Saturyos on the 300. I'm still chasing my first 700 series. Happy hunting on the 800 series.

just practice tonight since the league folded, 176,201,218
didn't get any warm up before starting the first game, and left some bad splits the first 3 frames. And I missed a 9 pin in the 7th. Clean 2nd and 3rd games
