So last night was a fairly decent night. It would've been better if I hadn't had 6 opens and five of them being splits. I was very happy with my spare shooting and for the most part my swing and release. I mean I hit a few rough spots, but I'll take my 529 series over my past two 400 series just fine.

Did the Scotch Doubles again with my wife Linda. Finished 3rd out of 10 teams. Very refreshing format for a summer break. Very good to fine tune on a variety of spares based on what she leaves me and call me out on the strike opps I do get when my wife strikes first.

Mid-Season slump continues. Just plain missing spares; cost me minimum 30 pins each game. Game two included to nine opens (7, 10) and a split in the 9th and 10th. Strikes were there. Our team has gone into a tail spin, lost 21-7, which means me just went 14-42 after being in first place. Just need to practice more often.

im happy i finally broke 200 on friday. then i did it again saturday. tonigh is league. lets hope i can do it again. ive had two really bad weeks and would love to bowl 1 game 100 over my average. but ill almost bet ill feel pressured and screw it up.

I used to love Scotch doubles sure miss them, not even sure if they have them around here anymore.

LOL! I bowled one game. It was practice. The lanes were simply a "dirt lot," and my wife and i said forget it. I usually start on laying the ball down on about 5 board. Well i had my feet next to the ball rack and was crossing the twenty and it was unreal. I have learned to walk away from certain situations. It was dollar night and crazy bowler night and i think i got the most used up lane in the place and so there was no good coming from this. Muscle memory is a killer when you start getting into bad habits. So i used the one game to try a bunch of releases and such not caring about the score(practice). After one game both the wife and i said forget it. Scored a 147! Yup...lol
