I had a good outting sunday night but a terrible one monday. My teams lost both sunday and monday. Shot a 620 series sunday and a 520 something monday of course monday was a bad night for everyone EXCEPT the consistant low average bowlers their balls were holding and going right in the pocket and they were scoring high. Team sunday night we tied 2 and 2 some how we had an absent person but me and my buddy made up for it and the other team just plain bowled out of their butts lol. Lost 3 and took 1 monday same thing happened there too.

The shot was there. The ball was the right one. I just didn't execute.
175 with 6 strikes and 3 splits
190 with 7 strikes, 2 opens and a missed washout
205 with 7 strikes and 2 splits
570 on the night. We only won 1 game.

First ball was there, when I missed, I really hurt myself.

20 strikes and 9 open frames. Yuck.

So the story is this: Lakes is the house supposely for Grant Highschool, Lakes, Round Lake, Grayslake and one I'm forgetting one other.
They all bowl there during the day on Tuesday. Then at 5pm they don't strip the lanes and redo the oil, they just reoil. The carrydown was absolutely awful last night. I can't remeber a time where I missed so many single pins on the left side. I know its my fault for not adjusting but holy cow was it bad last night and just think I have many weeks of this [censored] left

Team took all 8, which is what matters most. Still in second by 1 since leaders took all 8 as well. Their anchor needed to double in the 10th of the last game to sweep all 8 and he did, so good on him. Personally, I'm never bowling league without eating something prior again. I was hungry and probably dehydrated too, so I suppose a 580 is exactly what I deserved. Just a total mess from start to finish, with the only highlight being a covered 5-7. I think the streak of consecutive weeks under average is now at 7. thumbsdown

My Week 13 bowling (BowlSK)

I must've been in some kind of pre-holiday funk tonight, because I wasn't doing much right for the first two games. I woke up enough to save a 195 final game, but I needed one of my best games to save the 500 series, and I didn't get it.

Blog: http://tenthboard.net/2008/11/26/lost-and-found

I posted a photo of my team in my summer league on the forums this year, and I decided to continue the "tradition" tonight. I present to you The Pin Pals...

Again, Happy Thanksgiving everyone (well, the Americans here anyway)! laugh

A very blah night , 188,181,175 and we lost two of three to the first place team. I just could not carry anything, and several splits, two in the ninth frame..kind of sabotaged some decent games.

Well, last night was not a good night for me on the lanes. Everyone on my pair struggled. The house had 10 open bowlers on my pair before we started. Don't know how many games they played. The oil was really spread around funky though. I shot 174, 1752 191 for a 538. When I got the ball to the pocket, I was good. I left about 4 10 pins (which I picked them all). My only opens were splits and a washout. Obviously I had a lot of them. I had 4 through the nose once, 2-4-8-10 twice (which I almost picked up both times). Not a fun night from a person standpoint.

The good thing I guess is that all of the bowlers on my pair struggled. We were tied with 2 other teams for 3rd, 1 point out of 2nd, and 8 out of first. We took all 7 points and I know that the 2nd place team lost the first 2 games. I left before most of the other teams were done. Next week is the first half roll off. All we needed is the 1st place team to lost a game and we have a chance. We have the most pins overall so we would bowl them next week. All I want is a crack at them. If we have a chance and we bowl them, we can win.

Well, the scores can hurt your ego, but you guys did what you needed to do - you beat the other team. I struggled with the lanes a lot last week, barely made average, but I was high on the pair by over 30 pins. It's not your score relative to 300, it's your score relative to the others that matters. Good luck next week, and I'm jealous of all of you non-Thursday leaguers. I need to hit some lanes!

I know. Still upset that I didn't bowl better though.

Don't be too jealous CG of non-Thursday leaguers. I miss 2 weeks cause of the Holidays this year. I may miss the previous 2 weeks as well cause of my work and my wifes. Next week could be my last week until after the new year.
