Glad to see that other people are bowling well, nice job! Unfortunately, I've been in a bit of a slump my last 5 weeks or so, I've only managed to hit my average once in that time period. Just have had trouble finding the shot, and when I do, I've had carry issues, which is something I don't have often. I'm hoping to pull out of it on Friday.
Here's the one good point of the slump, and I think it's kind of funny. I haven't missed a 10 pin in my last 4 weeks of league, I don't know the exact number, but I know I've converted over 20 in a row now. Hopefully, I can build off of that.

and if it doesn't carry, it still looks cool going down the lane. Then you can also say you own the latest and greatest ball on the market haha. Just kidding!

Our center finally posted updated standings from last Thursday to LeagueSecretary.com...My team moved back into first in our division. We're finally starting to turn it around as a team and have been winning more points, 21-7 in the last month. Hopefully we don't fall into the rut we did after spending the first 8 weeks of the season in first, 0-7 or 2-5 for like 4-5 weeks in a row. Another 10 weeks and then we get to the playoffs. I'm the youngest guy on my team by 20 years, and apparently they have never won league before (this is my fourth year with the team full-time...they've all been bowling together for over 20 years). I would just love to have the chance.

I wish it were that, it's mostly not having a good angle to the pocket. Actually, only 2 of the 5 weeks were really bad with carry issues where I left over 5 10 pins in the three games. One of the two good weeks, I shot right out of the gates with a 279 and ended up with a 671 at the end of the night. Also, last week, I left all of them on the right lane and none on the left lane, no matter what I tried.
My biggest issue is something you talked about in a thread a while ago, and it's the over/under reaction. Right now, my break point has me skirting right along the oil line. I'm going to try to push my break point a few boards further out towards the gutter and try to bounce it off of the dry boards.
I seem to be good for one game a week, and it varies as to what game it happens to be. Ideally, I need to get to the lanes and practice a little, but haven't had the chance recently at all, I might have a change next Monday though.

In talking with Jim about my troubles, he asked me some good questions, which could help you:
What kind of players are scoring? Revs? Speed? Axis rotation? Is there something in common? (In my case, it was high speed)
What area of the lane are they playing, especially breakpoint? Inside, outside, how far down the lane? (In my case, they tend to play outside. I have a bit more hand, so have been a bit inside of them, but the breakpoint area is the same)
Is there any certain type of equipment (strength, coverstock) that seems to be scoring well? (In my case, I didn't really see any consistency here)
