I would say I am a tweener- but on the higher rev side. I have had a bit more experience with this ball and have really enjoyed bowling with it lately,
On a side note, we had Chris Sands, PBA Pro and Storm sales rep stop by our center to give a spiel about the new balls- Virutal and hyroad. he did mention he typically recommends a 4.75 X 5 layout, with a 2" pin buffer for THS- not the 4" pin buffer recommended in the dilling instructions. Anyways, I got a chance to throw eveyrthing from ther rapid fire to the hyroad. The hyroad is definately an awesoem ball. I got to throw on lanes that were burned up by the local high school team- so you figure 25-30 games of practice. The hyroad was definately handling the conditions well- but then again I shot a 256 with my virutal soon after, so both balls were working. The hyroad just gives you a lot of different looks to the pocket and is as smooth as a babys a@@ through the heads.
I would definately recommend both of these balls if you have some money set aside, would make a great 1-2 punch on the lanes!

yeah, i hyped the virtual before but i would rather now get a hy-road. my dimension used to be my strong ball for heavy oil, but the tour power that i got as an early christmas present seemed to be stronger than that, so i don't really need a heavy ball now. however, i could use a medium-oil ball (hy-road advertised as med-heavy, but i have heard nice things about it on medium oil) so i would rather get that as my next ball.

any updates on this ball? Maybe looking to get another strong ball. Love my Dimension but got used to the stronger back end movement of my Venom.

As anchor last Wed., the opposing anchor had one that he just purchased. Outside of a few practice balls with it, this was his first use. He shot 3, 260 games against us, and raved about this ball.
It had a great backend reaction, and just splattered the pins. He hit solid, light and high, and struck with them all.
But, he was a Lefty and had an easy shot.

Just bought a Virtual Gravity today. I'm probably a medium rev/speed right handed tweener. I had it drilled to layout #1 on the Storm drilling sheet meaning pin below ring finger (5-1/4" from PAP) and with a balance hole(on my PAP). I usually bowl on a medium oiled THS during leagues and hope to play in some tournaments when I get a chance. I wanted something stronger than my Hammers to finish better through carry-down and hook more on heavier oil.
I only got a chance to bowl about four frames on a lane that the Pro Shop uses for trying out balls because the place was packed. The oil pattern was a pretty fresh THS and I did notice a big difference in reaction compared to any of my Hammers. I had a nice smooth continuous strong arc from midlane with a slight snap in the backend. I was standing around 23 and throwing outside to about board 5-6 when I carried two strikes. The other two shots came up light because I initially was standing too far to the left which left a 10 pin and I believe a 4-9 split.
It's a 15-lb ball, but for some reason it feels lighter maybe because of the balance hole. This is my first ball with a balance hole. So far I'm real happy with the drilling it felt good throwing it. I will get a chance to use it on a fresh shot during league tomorrow. Just wish I had a chance to practice with it more besides league practice.
