you could say i had a devil of a time today.

244, 188, 234 = 666. first and third games were clean, middle had a split and a missed ten pin.

Not a good day at our double header match for the highschool. We won both of them advancing our team to 8-1 (8-0 in conference). But as for me, I didnt bowl all that well. First match I had 162, 161, 170. Lanes dried up so fast, which was probably because three people were playing the same line as me. Second match I changed my line, got a 176, 191, and 194. It still sucks that I never even broke 200 though.

No worries Justin. The second series was still a respectable series, 200 or not. It the first three games did you try keeping your line just inside your teammates/opponents who were throwing your line?

Yes I did try to keep that line, but I moved about 5 boards and threw it a little bit faster. Which I guess keeping that line could have been a stupid mistake. At the time though I wasn't even thinking about that until the last game of the first series and then I changed my line a little bit, and it worked but I just missed a couple of EASY spares (ex. 10 pin and 3-6 pin.) Those two spares are spares I almost always make, I will definately be in there workin on those spares tommorow and Monday before our next match on Tuesday.

Just chuck it up to experience and when you hit a similar condition you'll have to try something else.

Got to sub tonight for a friend on Saturday night league, shooting 222, 225, 221 for 668. And, just missed the side pot each game to someone shooting in the 230's. The frustrating part was the last game. I had 167 in the 7th, with a double going into the 10th. I had the side pot in my hand and like a dummy started counting the money before I earned it...getting a split in the 10th for that 221.

I got Greedy and got what I deserved! LOL

Had a tournament today, state scholarship. Qualifying set in the scratch division, (which, unbeknownst to me, was the division my coach (correctly) signed me up for), rolled 225, 187, 260 for a 672. Top 6 advanced, and i placed 4th after the first set, but i developed a blister on my bowling thumb that began to hurt like hell around the middle of the first game. only managed a 188, 198, 153 the final round for a 539, which gave me 4th place in the group, unfortunately just out of the scholarship money. oh well.

Good going Ryan. No skin patch? Oh well, nice first set and congrats on making it through the first cut.

Did pretty good at our highschool match today, Bowled a 186 and 206, Since we had already won the match, Coach took me and some of the other guys out for third game to give some of the other guys a chance to play. We advance to 9-1. Were havin a good season.
