Very Nice Chubbs. A 694 is a great series!! I am doing the same thing as far as keeping my hand underneath the ball, over 600 the last three series. smile

Justin,
Congrats on the clean series my friend. Spare shooting is extremely important when you can't seem to get strikes. Keep it up.

And now that I fixed the problems with my spare shooting I should be joining you in that category as well. That is if I can find I a way to stop leaving so many splits.

182, 210, 210 for 602 last Saturday in my handicap league. I did just good enough to get by for the day, but I can't seem to put anything together lately.

So far it's been a bowling week of ups and down. Instead of my usual Sunday practice, I bowled Saturday 2 squads of a trios tournament, shooting 643 the first set and 724 the second set. On Sunday, I decided to soak my balls (to de-oil) and come my Monday night league, I underestimated the increased ball reaction, shooting 148, 190, 214 for 552. And, i loved every humbling bit of that 148 smile

I was able to make the necessary adjustments last night in my 6:00PM and 9:00PM leagues, shooting 288, 214, 253 for 752, and 194, 269, 218, 224 for 905

Leftykev:

Nice shooting. When I give my equipment a bath, there is always a short period that I have to get re-acquainted with the reaction. Nice that it only lasted a game for you.

That's still a high 500 series. Talk to me when you go from 600 series to 450 series within a week's time. crying Unless of course you're going from 700 series to 580 series, yeah that would be a slump. brickwall nut

Yesterday, I practiced rolling just an inside line. I have been having trouble with dry lanes, and when I have moved outside, it just hasn't worked. I usually am not consistent, and can't hold a line. So, I just bowled from the inside to force myself to get my ball out across alley.

I found the best line for me was to move past 30, out to 42 on the dry lanes. I have never gone that far. I targeted 18-20 at the arrows, and was able to get the only pearl ball I have out to 8-10 at the break. I was very inconsistent hitting the pocket high, then light, then thru the nose. Seems 2 boards off at the arrows and another 2 boards at the break could yield quite a variation in results. but, I did get the ball out, and it did come back.

I didn't keep score, but probably shot 3, 150-160 games. I have to learn to go inside because I have run across a dry condition a few times, and I have suffered.
