great feeling, isn't it? not even so much the score, but the fact you didn't let one poor shot kill the rest of the game.

we're in the same boat i think, i finished last year with a 147 avg, and this year so far, i'm around 160. my good games are in the 180's and 190's, and most of my 'bad' games are over last years avg.

two biggest things i've done [trying to do anyway] for the mental aspect of my game is to 'play' one frame at a time, and to not look at the score 'board'. as an example, few weeks ago i shot a clean 184/5, never looked at the board till the last ball, and i also shagged a few shots, only making 2 or 3 pins on the first ball, but then just 'played the frame', and spared it all.

great job, keep it up!

I've had carpal tunnel and what I suspect is tendinitis for the past couple years from when I worked on an assembly line for 3 years. What I'm feeling is soreness when I move my wrist in any direction, top bottom and all around the wrist joint. Also pain behind my two bowling fingers' knuckles that feels like the tendins running along the top of my hand. I just had my ball fit checked and have been using a more snug thumb for the past month, hasn't helped.

I would get it looked at again. Ligaments are nothing to mess with.
