Hope it heals quickly, Mike. Two weeks ago, I missed bowling, choosing to go to the Cubs playoff game instead. I guess there were issues, as usual, with out lanes that night. As, last night I was told that one bowler on our team fell that night, and now finds after an x-ray, that there is a hairline crack in his patella, knee cap. He bowled last night, but gingerly on the slide with a brace on his knee.
Didn't know bowling was a hazzardous sport.

Well last night was interesting to say the least. First game 165(5 10 pins-missed a few) and a 7 count or something like that). Total for team first game was 19 ten pins(never seen so many in a game) 2nd game 217(seemed the ten pin issue started to go away) Anchor bowler on our team bowled his first 300. Congrats to him! He overcame the demons of the 12th frame(he's shot 299 and 298). Last game for me 200 on the nose. Overall not a bad not but not great.

Wow Mike sorry to hear about your leg but great job on the 300. Take care and get well soon.
I did not post last week but I was just in a holding pattern. I bowled a 540 (197, 178, 165). My average dropped a few pins but is still way over where I was. Team wise we have been struggling going 1-3 again. A couple of my teammates had a pretty significant drop in their averages this past week. Hopefully we can get rolling again.

Thanks for the well wishes all! I got my "boot" fitted today. The psychopathic bowler part of me thinks I can bowl around the obstacle. Its only a trail leg lol I managed to find a sub to cover 2-4 weeks so the team is OK. Better safe than sorry taking a chance bowling through it.

2nd week of mens singles.
197, played an outside line but kept missing my spot by a board or two.
167, was hitting my spot, but break point was off and kept slitting.
215, moved back 3ft on the approach, left 7 boards, my target 9 board left and hit the pocket non-stop, had a few carry issues from the ball not hitting roll soon enough, but it was better than the last few weeks.
575 series, all 7 pts and beat my opponent scratch

I was really hoping for my first 600 of this league, but I'll take the 231 last game and 593 set, both highs on the young season, as a nice rebound from last week. We had to bowl tonight with a bowler who could only be a spectator, as he had just been released from the hospital after passing out the other day and wasn't up to bowling. Team only took one point, and as we were next to last going in, we're probably back in the cellar.
Week 7: My best week to date, Lanes seemed a little burnt, Played with the Cell all night, Carried and read the lanes even better than usual, when there is more volume of oil.
Game 1 : 214 Had an open in the tenth, Missed a 7 pin. Game 2 : 259 10 strikes, 2 spares, Both solid 9 pins were the spares, Clean game. Game 2 : 234 Clean game, Pulled the ball on a few shots, (Chicken-wing)
Series : 707 *
Also High average for me too at 205!!
Now I have to not think about scores, and keep making good shots and having fun!!!
Good bowling, Until next time.
Highest series so far this season, Also best second game I have had, Normally has been my low game , of the series so far this season.
