Horrible night again, due to operator error. I have to learn not to keep forcing the issue. If the shots not there,..change balls , move, change something. No... I keep doing the same thing repeatedly untill its too late to salvage anything remotely respectable. Seems I was just a tad off all night. We took two points, but if I would have had my head out of my posterior we could have at least taken two games and totals. Live and learn I guess,... tonights another night.

Good thing I have a session with my coach this Saturday scheduled,..I need it.

Tim,

I feel your pain although I have not been experiencing it lately. Hang in there and keep your head up because it will turn around eventually. I went through an 8 week period last year that was just horrible. All I could do was keep plugging away at it.

Thanks Scott,
I know it will turn around eventually. I think seeing my coach will help. Its frustrating because I feel I'm throwing the ball well. At least I'm not all out of whack timing wise like I was in the summer. I'm just enough off that I am getting splits and missing fairly easy spares. Last night I left an 8 pin that I hit and it did not fall. I just grazed it,.. and it wobbled and stayed up. Such has been my luck of late. Like you say , I'll keep at it.

Oh those one pin spares. Funny how some nights you are just the littlest bit off on them. It drives you nuts.

tuba, welcome to my world, lol, quit thinking [and don't look at the score 'board'], hit your target, and make the spare if ya gotta. 1 frame at a time, and if ya miss the spare by a hair, think, 'well, it's better than by a foot, i'm gettin closer'. lately, only time i look at the score board is to make sure i'm up, takes the 'pressure' off, and i can concentrate on each individual frame.

That's one thing I've been getting better about...not looking at the screen, and taking it one shot at a time. I caught myself pulling my eyes off my target and looking at the foul line a few times, and pulled those shots to the right badly. I keep thinking it's a concentration problem, maybe it's a problem with my release, maybe it's a problem with my line, I don't know. I'm definitely in my head too much, though, and it's costing me.

last few weeks, all i concentrate on is my mark, and watching the ball roll over it, or close to it, while doing this, everything else seems to come together. much easier to 'worry' about 1 thing, than 10, lol.

192-154-224 = 570. Sub par night. Could of been better, i had trouble with those nasty 10 pin spare in the first game wiffed them twice. Then 2nd and last game i just kept chopping then 3-6-10. Though did finally make proper adjustment last game to make it somewhat decent night.

The lanes were funky tonight. big hook guys really strugled and left tons of corner pin luckly i only left 2 ten pins tonight. I seen other team anchor 220 average bowler get 7 ten pins in a row he sure wasnt happy camper. but we were happy we swept them all three games.

Hey everybody - hope you are all doing well, I have some catching up to do with my reading :-)

I had actually thought about staying home last night because I was tired and just not feeling it, but man am I glad I went. I went into last night with a 169 average - first game out I had a 226 (1 open), second game 210 (2 opens, had 7-10 split in the 8th and opened in the 9th still thinking about the split) - was trying real hard not to jinx myself for what would be my 3rd 600 ever and my 2nd for the year - started off the game with 3 spares and a strike, 2 more spares, 5 strikes and and 8 count for a 232. Boy was I shocked to see that I bowled a 668!!!!! I almost passed out from excitement.

That is my best series ever and also the first time I ever bowled 3 200's in one night.

I was a very happy bowler last night :-)

Melissa

She stole my scores! j/k, nice work Melissa.

Where do I sign up for the underachievers club? 594. Game 2 was ok, except for missing a 5-pin. Spare game in general was good - aside from the 5 pin, I made every makable spare. Game 1 I couldn't get lined up on the right lane until the 10th. Game 3 was killed by a couple splits and too much beer.
