How different is the Ultra Zone compared to the Cell? I jumped on a deal and got the Ultra Zone for $85 along with the Brunswick promotion for $100 gas card rebate. Now I am beginning to think that both of them has the same reaction from the youtube videos. I was thinking of getting it drilled for long and snap, but I do not have the revs at this point to get it to come back so hard. I have an Awesome Finish to handle all dryer lane conditions and the Cell will handle the oily fresh lane conditions that I see in the alleys I bowl at. I will ask my Pro Shop guy for opinions too, but I want to have an idea before going there.
Thanks in advance.

Wow, let us know how that goes. I read the requirements to get your "rebate" and I don't think I'd have the staying power to meet all the requirements for the next 6 to 10 months.

The Ultra Zone is meant to go much longer and be more angular, the Cell is meant to roll early and a lot. I'd say that if you drill them both the same, and throw them on medium, you'll be 5-10 boards deeper with the Cell.

I have both at the moment- To be honest, but Cell is pretty burned up. I tried my best to take care of it and maintain it, but its a sponge- right now it likely needs a good baking. On the other hand, my Ultra Zone is still in great condition. Although it doesnt flare as much or suck up oil like the Cell, the coverstock has maintained very well. I also think it is a bit more versatile- Though it is considered a heavy oil ball, it handles my local medium oil lanes with no problem. The Cell on the other hand works great for a game, but tends to become too much once you get carry down and tracks are set in the lanes.
I think the Cell is a great ball, but also think the UltraZone may have been overshadowed or underrated because of it.
Just my opinions and observations...
