Excellent to hear. I can't say enough about that ball! I unfortunately didn't get in any pots but I'm offically on the board for end of year honors(don't know if it will last).
I'm second for HSH (820) and (HSS-754).
The funny thing about last night was I was talking to our anchor bowler about bowling 3 258's and boy did I come close. He was shocked!

Congrats on the 300 Mike!! That's really awesome to hear!!

My week, was not so great. I started with a 149, which was a strong game for me. I'm still struggling to find the pocket...I can get it (or at least close) in practice, but once the games start, the ball doesn't seem to want to move as much...I must be doing something different, I'll figure it out.

What made me happy about the first game was my spares. I only left 2 open frames, picked up all my spares, including an important 2-7 split to help my team win the game. Second game was not good at all, my spare game disappeared, and I still couldn't hit the pocket. Ended up with a 99 (two week in a row with a sub-100 game...it's like I'm going backwards). Last game, I rebounded slightly for a 129. The only thing that makes me feel better is that everyone seems to be struggling, so maybe it isn't me.

I'm not making as much progress as I'd hoped, for a lot of reasons. I haven't been able to get to the lanes at all aside from league night (either no time, no money, or both), and I'm sure that doesn't help. I'm still enjoying myself, and trying to stay positive. Hopefully next week I can get a practice session in on Wednesday or Thursday.

Hang in there Tuba, and hopefully you'll fit in some practice. It's crucial to fix the lacking aspects of ur game outside of league and then come in to perform, not fix, on league nights :-D Best of luck this coming week and stay focused on your goals. One pin at a time, one pin at a time.

Congrats on the 300 Mike, especially with a battered push off leg.

Nice high series Raggityman.

Tuba, your issue might be that once the scorer starts keeping Track of the scores you try harder and might be overthrowing the shot to try to score better and giving the ball less time to react. If this is the case, its a matter of not getting "hyped", which is easier said than done.

nice shooting guys! way to go.

tuba, welcome to my world, lol, quit thinking [and don't look at the score 'board'], hit your target, and make the spare if ya gotta. 1 frame at a time, and if ya miss the spare by a hair, think, 'well, it's better than by a foot, i'm gettin closer'. lately, only time i look at the score board is to make sure i'm up, takes the 'pressure' off, and i can concentrate on each individual frame.

ugh, bad first night of the new format, we talked for an hour and a half about how we were going to run the league before we even started bowling, they changed the shot tonight, felt like the oil went all the way to 50'.

144,113,207 for the first night of mens singles. Somehow I got 4/7 pts.

We're doing a $30 fee, $9 lineage, $6 to the pot, and the other $15 puts everyone in doubles with everyone else for all three games.

That's one thing I've been getting better about...not looking at the screen, and taking it one shot at a time. I caught myself pulling my eyes off my target and looking at the foul line a few times, and pulled those shots to the right badly. I keep thinking it's a concentration problem, maybe it's a problem with my release, maybe it's a problem with my line, I don't know. I'm definitely in my head too much, though, and it's costing me.

Congrats on the 300 Mike! laugh

Bikedad, BowlSK is a web application put together by cgeorg from the forums. I'm not sure if it uses a Flash applet for the data entry, but Chris worked very hard to get the site going. Sign up at http://www.bowlsk.com and you can input your games, as well (luksa from the forums is an international BowlSK user).

My Week 6 bowling (BowlSK)

Definitely a night I'd rather forget...a 190 that should've been clean but for a couple of easy spare misses, 3 splits and a washout in the second game, and a split, washout, and a couple of spare misses in the last game. Here's hoping I can regroup.

Things sure are different when you have a fair shot. Finally, I found one. 606 tonight. We won 5 of 7, our best week yet. By the end of the night, we felt like we were just warming up. So, I hope it continues.
