Last week I rolled my ankle at my house and went to the ER. No breaks but lots of pain and different colors. I wrapped it up and rolled 263-170-213 (gutter my last ball). That 263 was my high game of the year until tonight.
Tonight I wrapped the leg (trail leg) and ankle pretty good. The first game was a 235. Next game I had the front 8 and get out of it clean BUT I put side pressure on the bad ankle and almost fell, I struck. I pulled the ball inside and carried Brooklyn on my 1st shot in the 10th. I then went dead flush the next 2 on pure adrenaline for my 2nd league 300 game. THAT is where the good part of the night ends. What ever I did in the 9th of that 300 game killed me the 3rd game. I had nothing but ankle pain and it ended with a split in the 10th. I rolled a horrible 161 game for a 696 series.
Part of me is estatic to have rolled 300 despite the bad ankle and the lucky cross over. The other part is furious at myself for bowling a 161 after a 535 start to the night. I should be able to do that on a bloody stump. Now I get to rest it for next week, I have an MRI this Fri so I hope its nothing serious. What a night!!!!!!!

Wow..Congrats on the 300 Mike. I would not beat yourself up too much for the 161 in game three. Heck you were P E R F E C T in game two, and you had a great series, and you did it at less than 100%. I am sure WRW or PDW would have a simular dropoff in their scores if they had to deal with all that pain. Take care of that ankle, and hopefully the MRI shows nothing serious. Congratulations again on your 300!!

Our entire team is struggling. None of us are really bowling to our averages. It just seems that when someone carries 4 or 5, they hit a split the next ball, then cn't find the range again. I changed balls 3 times tonight, and none of them really worked. I think I will take my BigRBang to 4000 grit polished. It reads the midlane too early. My series was 567 and thank God I can pick up spares. The only opens were a few splits. But, I haven't strung strikes since the Summer. We only won 1 game, the first. Lost the second by 12 when our 4th and 5th bowlers had splits in the 10th. Then the other team got hot. Low man was 245 against us. I think they set the team hi game mark by 200 pins. Yet, we only lost by 30 pins. BowlSK http://www.bowlsk.com/games/view-series.html?series=20034

Last night was a great night for me and my sting 258-249-247 754 This is my new career high, I only shot at 3 ten pins all night and those all came in the last game and moved about 5 boards all night. There also where 3 other 700's last night with one being a 790( guy's got a 230+average).

Raggityman:
Congrats on the new high series. Sounds like you found a gem with the Sting.

Nice Series Raggityman. I hope I fare as well with my Sting tonight. It already won me a couple of pots last week in its debut.

Tim, Now, that's what I like to hear. A ball that pays for itself.
