Threw the ball well tonight. My past problem with pulling the ball only happened 3 times in three games.

First game I had my head up my um ***. Shot 159. Left a washout 1-2-4-10 and got the ball left of the headpin but, still wrapped the headpin around the 10. Missed the 3pin on the 3-6-10. 2 frames later chopped the 3 off the 3-10.

Second game was a lot better at 233. Made a 4 and 2 move. I was at 24 with my feet and 11 at the arrow out to 10-9 at the breakpoint.

Third game was at 206. Ball was coming off the hand really well and I thought I had bowled a lot better than the score showed. Pulled the ball on the first shot of the tenth to leave a 4-7.

Not a bad series but could have been a mid 6 if, I would have made a couple more makable spares.

Since joining a sanctioned league 3 weeks ago, I've been struggling with consistency and it seems I'm not sure if I'll shoot 150 or 250 in any given game. Spare shooting has been an issue as have been adjustments as the lanes transition. I just don't have the axis rotation to move in very deep and I seem to have better luck moving further to the outside throughout the night. My mental game has been pretty strong, though, so I'm keeping a positive attitude and enjoying bowling.

Monday night this week (unsanctioned league), I shot 155-182-225 (562). I struck out in the first game and finally found a good line.

Wednesday night, I shot 163-226-202 (591). In the first game, I left a few splits, including 4-6-7-9-10, which I chopped the 9. This is the third time I've left that in two weeks and the second time I've chopped the 9. I felt pretty good about the last two games and I recovered for a decent series.

B, what happened? The terminator never came up. Too much speed? To few revs?

At least you moved inside to 30 with the VG.

Dennis,
One of those days my head was someplace else. seeingstars I probablly could made it work if i change hand postion or something. Looking back should of made bigger move. It seem first game my release didnt feel smooth i was off either timming or something. help So probablly just didnt get enough hand and lost a bunch of revs probally why it didnt finish right and hitting flat. Live and learn i guess. brickwall

Hey that website is really cool. I am going to start using that so I can pick up some trends that I have. See if there is any noticible patterns in my game.

Had a very solid night last night. I shot a 575 (179, 182, 214) and avoided any sub average games. Splits hurt me the first game (had 3 of them) and the second game missed a couple of makeable spares but other than that not too much to complain about.

So in what seems to be typical I bowl well and we lose all 4 games. Most of it was due to running into a hot team though. Several of their bowlers were way above their averages.

First night in my league with the new bowling balls. The One Pearl was strong through 2 games. I wiffed on 2 10 pins and still managed a 223, then went 245. 3rd game I had to switch the Bash. With in 2-3 shots I found out what the ball does and finished with a 203 for a 671 series.

The One Pearl is just an awesome ball and fits my style completely with my typical skid/Flip drilling. Unbelievably strong. The Bash is a great ball for when the lanes break down. More of a roller and less skid/Flip which is exactly what the Pro Shop guys told me it would be. My trust in that Pro Shop is what has me going back when it's time for new equipment.

As a team this was one of those nights. The 1st game we needed our anchor to carry the first strike. Stone 7 and a 4 pin loss. The middle game was lost by 58. The last game we won but needed the first strike in the 10th from our anchor and got a 7 count, lost wood by 6 pins. We are still in first but only by 2 points now as this was position round.

Surprised the team asked me to sub again, but they did. I stunk it up again with 12 opens on the night. I don't know if it was 12, but it felt like it. 18?, 15?, 17?. Barely a 510 or close

But, the weird thing is they had me at anchor. I doubled in the tenth to win the first game by 7. I picked up a 4-9 split in the tenth of the second game to win be 4. And, the final game I struck out to win by 5. They were really happy, winning all 7 points, and thanked me. Didn't know but they were tied for second with the team we bowled.

I just said I should only bowl the tenth frame, cause the rest were worthless. Here is an example. First game X X X 9-(ten pin) 9- (ten pin) X 9- (7 pin) split. I suck.

I missed 6 of 10, ten pins, all to the left. If I am leaving that many, my entry angle is a problem. I am getting a lot of turn on the ball, but I can see the tilt is just not right to carry. I changed my hand position throughout the night searching for the right combo, without success.
