I tried to search this but nothing would come up. Although I am pretty sure there is a thread like this one, I just decided to make a new one.

Sometimes my wrist will hurt me when I bowl, I was watching WRW bowl and I saw them talk about a little wrist strap like thing that he wore. I tried one out today when I was bowling and it kept my wrist from hurting quite a bit. It cost $15. Do you guys think I should buy it? It is just something that tightens up on the wrist and keeps heat in it and keeps blood moving I think. Let me know what you guys think. I will be in there Thursday so I will probably buy it then, if I buy it. Here is a video where you can see Walter Ray wearing it

I have one, in fact used it tonight. It does help relieve any strain on the wrist.

Alright thanks. I never thought that it would cost that much though! I figured just around $5-8 and then I saw it was $15, but like Tim said, if it works then I guess I should get it.

Justinmill,
Don't go into the poor house to get it though. I realize that you are a young guy and money is not always readily available. Maybe you could compromise and wrap your wrist with some athletic tape or something simular for the time being. Just a thought.

Justin, just a tip. There are other similar types too. I found 3 different ones in the Sport's Mega store. 1 in the bowling aisle, 1 where they sell wrist, arm, knee wraps, and one in the weight lifting section. Some were sold in pairs, as the weight lifting ones for the same price.

I talked with the sales rep for the product, and she showed me the differences among all of them, even though they were all made by the same company. But, they all support the wrist in a similar fashion.

Go to a Walgreens or CVS. I am sure that they may have something that can work. Athletic tape isn't bad but it can get pricey if you bowl enough. I have a wristmaster wrister. I think it cost me $15 or $20 when I was at Nationals. I wear it every once in a while. To me, it is worth the few bucks.

I have a velcro wrist strap I wear around my wrist, and it alleviates any tension issues I had before. Just make sure to not wear it tight all the time, as you need to let the blood flow (prevents swelling).

p.s. - I believe Ebonite is the brand, and it was 8 bucks at my local Pro Shop, new.
