I'm a little late on this, but from Thursday night heres my scores. 177,220,189.
I going to write a book on how to miss corner pins.
Chapter 1: Start drinking Chapter 2: If the opposing team is of the opposite sex, start fliting. Chapter 3: Keep drinking more when you miss another one.
You get the point (I missed 4 10's in the first game. Total of 7 for the night)

I threw a 514 series last night. Easy spares are still killing me. I really need that plastic spare ball. Yay, a 145, 158, 211.
On the upside though I spent most of the night tweaking and looking for a comfortable axis tilt and how far to cup my wrist. I think I found one. Plus I found a new way to position the ball so that all the weight of the ball can now be supported in my left hand.
Also I actually got to throw my Cell on some oil. It was awesome, even though it really didn't last all that long. Regardless, I threw the best ball and had the best strike I've ever had so far. It was awesome. I wiish i had gotten it on tape.

I had a chance to shoot 800 today. Almost shot a perfect game as well. First game, go 2 in a row, split open, 8 in a row, 9. 263. Next game, front 9, 10 pin, spare, strike. 279. I need a 258 to shoot an 800. I go 197. Lanes started to burn up, and just didn't catch the right move right away. And then what do I do? 134. I love/hate this pattern, because one it breaks down, it gets tough. It's incredibly skid/Flip... The center has so much oil. I moved too far left and nothing was hooking. Afterwards I make the proper adjustment instead of being an idiot, and still shoot a 214 on the same pair, with a missed 10 pin in there. Still shot a 739 and averaged 218, but man it should've been more like 240... STILL not happy about it, lol.

Satyuros, it happens to everyone. That's why lane reading is one of the hardest techniques to Master. Because even when you think you are an expert at it, you get thrown a curve ball and misread or not even pick up on lane transitions and changes.

No kidding... I think reading the lanes is the hardest thing for me to be honest. I've been throwing the ball amazing. Mastering lane transitions is all about seeing the transitions before they happen...

You need to figure out where the oil is in warm ups by throwing a slow easy shot with a good amount of side rotation, and watch how far the ball goes down the lane before it hooks, and how much it hooks. Try to find a different colored board or a reflection in the area where the ball hooked from and adjust your feet so the ball gets to the pocket on the next shot.
If the ball goes very far down the lane before hooking then you are going to want the ball to hook to the pocket between the 15 and 10 boards if the ball goes medium then you will want to find a marker between the 5 and 10 board and if the ball hooks early then you want to find a mark between the 5 board and the gutter.
Watch the rotation of the ball all the way from your target at the arrows to the break point and from the break point to the pins and see how the ball finishes through the pins and how it hits the 9 pin (8 pin for lefties).
If you start off lining up to the break point and get a feel for how far down the lane you want the ball to travel you will develop a feel for when the ball should hook, when this happens, say "hook" or "now" to yourself this will confirm the feeling is right or not by if it hooks or not, if not something went wrong or you aren't playing the lane right, if it does then you turn your attention to the 9 pin and say "left", "solid", or "right". If it hits left or right then you need to adjust so the ball hits the 9 solid, this is what's telling you to adjust before you leave something bad.
