I'm with you Dennis. I don't know how people go through the approach with the
shoe cover on, other than they don't really line themselves up correctly. Like GP, if I'm not on the lane my cover is over my left foot. I've gotten stuff on my slide sole while still in the "settee" area. Like CG said I slide my foot on the approach some before I even set up, plus I look down to spot my foot at the board I'm starting on.
Now sticky approaches are another issue entirely. If I ever find an approach that is so bad that I can't adjust my
shoes to be able to slide I won't be bowling.
