Not so good tonight. Seemed if i missed my target tonight it either over reacted or under reacted so i had to be dead on and of course i wasnt to night. Only managed a 192 (1 open), 181 (4 opens - 2 splits and wiffed 10 pin & chopped 2-8), 176 (4 opens - wiffed 10 pin & 3 spilts) = 549

Team wise only won 1 game. Which was game 1 and lost the rest!

I'm fortunate to be in a pretty solid league, with a bunch of good bowlers. I'm thinking the lowest average in the league is 180. I bowled a 694 tonight. I was upset I didn't get to 700. I've bowled 700 multiple times but still. lol. I've been on a roll lately. Over the past 4 weeks I've averaged around 230. Haha. The odds of me holding that average is almost zero lol. Well at least I'm fairly sure I'll achieve a 200 plus average.

PBAX league again today, still on the viper. The lanes started hooking alot off the bat and I was deep left in practice. Small line and limited carry standing R ft on 30 throwing to the break of 7. Nothing specail other the I shot better then the 150 average I did last week.

176, 173, 178, 170 for a 697 (174 ave for the night)

first two game were played deep on the 30, 3rd game I tried playing up the gut a lil more standing on the 26 and not putting anything on the ball just push the ball to the breakpoint. But still had problem with the spares. Last game started out like the 3rd game line but changed to the 22 throwing to the 5 with a lil lift. Seemed more consistant and still able to carry energy to the pocket.

Overall a fun night, consistantly missing spares but at least the scores are simular.

I am really having trouble this year adjusting to the lane conditions, out of stubborness I guess. I will never reach my goal of a 200 average if I don't get my head out of my posterior.

I started off the night with a 192, followed by a 180(lanes starting to break down), then a dismall 177. At least we took 2 games and totals. I have got to move when its required. Its funny I never had trouble in the past with this. I am having trouble staying focused, and it has not been much fun lately.

Maybe the new ball will help when it arrives.

Another disappointing 630something.

http://www.bowlsk.com/games/view-series.html?series=11462

My timing was pretty good - my release was 50/50, and I had the wrong ball in my hand for 2 games. Did finish with a 255, that involved the front 7, a missed spare that went off my ankle, and then a few more.

I already know what I will be doing differently next week - just a matter of waiting 6 more days. I think I will be bowling a scratch tournament Sunday - I will put the release lessons I learned to use there.

Wow Dennis - hope everything gets better for you.

Right now as the President of my league I am dealing with people "crying" over how long the smokers are taking to go outside. I was not in a good mood last night when a team complained about another team they weren't even bowling and said they were outside for 5 minutes - I turned around and asked if they actually timed it.

But anyway - I went into last night with a 181 average (I just love the beginning of the year averages - too bad I can't keep them LOL)

Had a 165, 172, 186 for a 523 series. Not too bad and I can't complain about the consistent scoring night (given the amount of alcohol that I consumed in that little bit of time celebrating)

I am, however, disappointed in my overall consistency of hitting my mark, follow-through, etc.. I was just off off off last night - I am stumped at how I managed what I did.

So I will go into next week with a 179 - hopefully I improve my head by then and start working on keeping that average - I like seeing it (ha ha ha)

I had a very disappointing night. It appears as though the house oiled the lanes up very well for last night. Most people had problems in getting their balls to hook up... I was one of them. I started the warmups in my usual golden area standing on 18 throwing over 10 at the arrows and I knew from my results this was going to be a long night. I kept moving right trying to increase my angle into the pocket (when and if I would ever hit it). The last game saw some success as I had moved all the way over to standing on 11 and throwing over 4-5 at the arrows. Only playing outside that far was I able to catch some dry and allow the ball to do its work. I had some nice flush shots but I was riddled with inconsistancy. To be good tonight you needed a heavy oil ball, to be rev dominant, or to throw straight at the pocket with no hook. I had a 434 scratch series with 136, 147, and a 151 individual scores. Yes I had consistent scoring but I was far from happy with my performance on these conditions.

Oh and to top it off our games from last week were forfeited as we only had 2 bowlers present (league rules). These were the games that we rolled against the vacant team and won a bunch of points frown. At least now we finally have a full 5 man team. One of my teammates was able to get a neighbor to join us and we picked up a straggler last night.

Better luck next week.

Just wanted to get some thoughts about our rules compared to everyone elses. Our team consists of 3 guys that bowled at different houses last year(easy ones). The 4th guy hasn't bowled in 7 years so he doens't count. Basically our rules state we have to carry the other houses average for 3 weeks (then it gets re established from those 3 weeks)2 of our guys have to use 220+ averages aren't even close so far so we've lost all 21 pt's so far. I'm just curious what people think about that rule?
and of course I carried a 200 and now am re established at 211(yippy)
