I wasn't sure if my bowling career was over because of bad knees. The left knee has been diagnosed as bone on bone while the right knee has been damaged due to a bicycle accident. I was only using a cane two weeks ago and have felt better because of cortizone injections in both knees. I finally found a knee support that allows me to bowl pain free. I shot a 592 in my senior league yesterday, a definite morale booster. John, just to let you know. A teammate of mine, a lady Coach, had a knee replacement on her sliding knee, and reconstructive surgery on the other in early June. She plans to return to the team in late October. Good luck.

I discussed knee surgery with my doctor, a orthopaedic surgeon, and he said I wasn't ready for surgery yet - Maybe some time in the future but not now. I asked him who does he operate on and he told me he operates on those patients who come to see him in a wheelchair. I also discussed my situation with the proprietor of the bowling alley where I bowl. His knees are worse than mine. He just confirmed what my doctor told me that surgery is a last resort.

Today was a pretty good day, I ended up stayin after highschool practice. Well lets just say I was there for 5 hours. I bowled a 170, 180, 154, 193, 211, 179, 171, 203, and 184. All in all it was a pretty good day, although there at the end my wrist really started hurtin me. But Oh well.

I threw a 151, 172, and 145 for a 468 series.
I couldn't find any consistentcy in my approach with my 16 pound balls. I have an approach that seems to be working for me but I feel like I have to force my 16 pound balls in it to make them work. Gamewise I missed way too many easy spares and had way too many opens.

[quote=Justinmill14 Very good point, but considering I missed most of them to the left I was left with quite a few splits. [/quote]
Do you throw a straight ball at your spares or a reactive ball? Were the splits resolutes of high hits low hits, what?
