To be honest I never knew my foot did that until now. I will have to see if trying to fix that does any thing. At the very least maybe it'll help control the opening of my hips like you mentioned. Perhaps it could just be the way I walk on the approach because I don't think I walk like that down the street.

For soles and heels I think it's a bad idea in general to have them both slick. Your heel should have been rougher, that could possibly have made a good combination for you. I don't like a long slide, I like it short but not quite planting.

Untutored, there is a difference between having one quick step before the slide and running to the line. Your cadence should be in a four step approach, step, step, quick half step, slide.

Timing should be step and start the ball, step the ball is slightly behind you, quick step at the top of the back swing, slide foot comes to a stop just before the ball gets to the right knee. You can watch any probowler and they all have this same cadence and timing. Your footwork should be a normal walking pace no matter how many steps you take, but walking with a purpose, not a lazy stroll, with a quick half step then the slide.

I don't know if you read this but this is what I was talking about when I mentioned raising the ball in my stance

Not a strong point in my game to say the least.

I really wish there was an easier way to increase my speed. I know fixing my feet will increase my normal speed but to throw about 18 MPH for the dry would be like a gift from above.

No I didn't read that post, I jumped in after the new vid.

Try increasing the speed of your last step and starting the ball with your right foot and see if that doesn't help with the speed.

Starting the ball higher shouldn't affect anything other than increasing the ball speed. That being said you probably hit your ankle because you got later with your timing and pulled through the ball, this would cause it to hit your ankle.

All right thanks Jim. I guess I just gotta work on being more consistent when raising the ball(as if being consistent on a regular basis isn't hard enough lol). Hopefully speed will come easier in general once I match my feet to my swing.
