Would Millen be taken seriously analyzing games, and players now when he did not have a clue how to do it with the Lions? In all those years of drafting players (8yrs), only three are in football. Joey Harrington, Michael Williams,Charles Rodgers to name a few,.. are all out of the game..and the list goes on and on.
It will be years untill the new guy whoever that is can right the ship. The cupboards are bare in Detroit... they have zero talent.

If he had a decent line in front of him, then he would be able to show it. Kevin Smith, Calvin Johnson, and Roy Williams a lot better than their stats show. Again, no line. If it wasn't like going through a revolving door to get to the backfield, they could put up some serious points. They need to be able to stop some people on the other side of the ball though.

Lions fans, those of us in the Cleveland area probably know how you feel... Since coming back in 1999 we have made horrendous draft picks. When thinking back we could have had Donovan McNabb and Ladainian Tomlinson. The first five years since coming back, I don't know if any of these guys we have drafted in the first round are still in football. Cleveland is just a guilty if not more of squandering draft picks and choosing poor talent. And some of the talent we do get, don't perform.
Braylon Edwards could be a fantastic wide receivers. Can pull down some great one handed catches. However if you deliver it to him in his hands, he drops it. Because Braylon is not a threat and not getting the coverage he should, we are not able to utilize Winslow in the TE position. Our offensive line is horrible, no pass protection, and these guys couldn't open a whole big enough for flea to run through.
We have a great athlete in Josh Cribbs, but he rarely is ever on the offensive side and is mostly used on kick returns.
Then we made the decision to get Brady Quinn... Why. if he is going to just sit there...
He maybe playing this Sunday though..
We will see...

Let's recount the Bears draft picks since 1995.
1995: Rashaan Salaam 1996: Walt Harris 1997: No pick 1998: Curtis Enis 1999: Cade McNown 2000: Brian Urlacher 2001: David Terrell 2002: Marc Columbo 2003: Michael Haynes Rex Grossman 2004: Tommie Harris 2005: Cedric Benson 2006: No pick 2007: Greg Olsen 2008: Chris Williams
Of those picks, I would say that 4 aren't complete busts. I am counting the latest pick a bust due to the fact that he has had 1 practice in his career so far.

We will take Anderson here in Detroit. How is Sean Rodgers doing. He played well here for about the first four game, then he would just tank it. He is too fat.

Joey Harrington is still in football, he just signed with the Saints last week, wait a minute they cut him today. Man, he is so unwanted that the Ravens with their quarterback issues gave him a tryout and passed on him.
As for the Lions, like its been said, the O-Line is just terrible. Some years they have had a decent defense but couldn't move the ball or score. Last season they could move the ball but had issues getting the ball into the endzone.
